January 4 – February 22, 2025Opening Reception: Saturday, January 4, 2 – 5 pmSteven Francis Fine Art, Tradewynd Gallery • Lynchburg, VA It is an honor to be part of this exhibition of work by my UVA painting professor, Philip Geiger, and six of his former students. Philip has been such an influence on many painters over the years and I am definitely one of them. This exhibition is part of The Philip Geiger Project, organized by Steven Francis Fine Art. The Project will include a year of exhibitions in 2025 celebrating the artistic achievements of Philip Geiger and the broad reach of his influence among colleagues and students in his circle. Steven Francis Fine Art has also begun publishing a Blog where artists share personal accounts of how Philip Geiger has guided and inspired them. More testimonials will be added throughout the year.
